Euphoniums and baritones come in all different shapes and sizes; 3 valves, 4 valves, compensating, marching, tenor horn, Wagner tuba, etc. Each instrument has a unique function in a wide variety of instrumental groups, but they all play in a similar range and with similar technique. Whichever is your preference, it is important to keep your baritone clean and well maintained to preserve the rich and beautiful tone they produce. At Brass Monkey Music, we take great care to make sure your baritone or euphonium is functioning at its highest potential.
As is standard practice for all ultrasonic cleanings at Brass Monkey Music, slides and valves are removed and cleaned to look like new inside and out. All worn out, oil soaked, or noisy valve felts and corks are replaced to keep the valves aligned and quiet. Worn out water-key corks are replaced with new ones. Each solder junction is checked for leaks to make sure no air escapes the horn unintended. Silver instruments are dipped in a tarnish removal solution, so your instrument sparkles once again!
